Our Clinic

Biloxi Pediatric Clinic was established in 1995 by Dr. Mitchell J. Gruich Jr. The clinic is currently located at 147 Reynoir Street, Suite 202. Dr. Gruich is the sole physician at the clinic. The Biloxi Pediatric Clinic has remained open 5 days a week since opening day while weathering hurricanes, and withstanding the destruction of Hurricane Katrina.

Mitchell J. Gruich Jr., MD, was born and raised with six siblings in Biloxi, MS. He graduated high school from Biloxi High School and received his Associates in Science from Gulf Coast Community College, Bachelors of Science cumlaude from William Carey College and attended University of Mississippi School of Medicine where he received his doctorates. During the fourth year of medical school Dr. Gruich was bestowed with honor of class president and was named medical student of the year. It was during this time that he came to the decision that his calling was to be in the field of pediatrics. The biggest impact came from Joe Donaldson, MD., a pediatrician who had left private practice to teach at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Other influences was the late Daniel Enger, MD., and Dr. Gruich's family, parents, older brother Charles Gruich, MD. and his uncle, Frank Gruich, MD.

Dr. Gruich is published in Journal of Pediatric Neurology and in Journal of the Academy of Pediatrics. He has been recognized by the Mississippi State Department of Health and Vaccines for Children Program for multiple years of 100% immunization completion rate. Dr. Gruich was voted Sun Herald's People's Choice Favorite Physician in 2014.

Dr. Gruich has been Board Certified by American Board of Pediatrics since 1995, and presently has Maintenance of Certification renewed , 2021.
